Mpc 2,11.4 firmware update.

Hi

I recently updated my mpc x to 2.11.4 and I observed the shutdown not working properly.
I also noticed the mpc x will shutdown unexpectedly.
I also don’t know how to access the plugins including Mellotron. The unit displays a green tick next to the name.

Does your MPC X have trouble shutting down every time after the update ?

How did you update your MPC X ? General recommandation seems to update via a usb flash drive.

Do you see the Mellotron plugin amongst other plugins when using a plugin program on the MPC ? If not, you might have to install the plugins.

1. Did you do a system preferences reset after you updated your firmware? If not, do so now. Twice even.

2. Make sure you set the synth content folder in preferences to your SSD attached storage (or another drive such as an SD Card or USB stick). Do *NOT* leave it at the factory default location.

3. You must first connect to WiFi, and make sure you are logged in to your Akai account before you can download the new synth content.

4. Make sure your attached storage (whether it be a permanently installed SSD, or an SD Card, or USB Stick) that has your synth content folder location set, is attached before booting your MPC up.
