Mpc software no midi, hardware doesnt respond

So when i open a plugin midi doesnt work, i unplug and plug the cable back in midi works for 5 seconds then stops working.... also i cant change padbanks from the mpc live 2, i can change it in the software but not from my mpc. So i basically cant play and record any plugins, which makes the whole device useless to me...
how am i suppose to play and record plugins if my midi disconnects after 5 second and doesnt respond anymore....its only in controller mode (ofcourse!) in standalone i can use keygroups and plugins, without troubles.... what has happened with akai man, they were doing so well.... controller mode always did kinda suck but didnt expect them to take it to another level of suckiness....
