So I use the MPC Live in standalone. All I'm doing is sending a click to outputs 3&4 and launching clips on outputs 1&2.
Had the unit (second hand) for just over a year. Never had any issues. A few weeks ago I noticed that when launching a clip using one of the pads, it would behave strangely at times, doing things like launching a clip assigned to a different pad.
The problem gradually got a bit more pronounced. It was happening a little more frequently. During this entire time, nothing change with the unit. It was never connected to the internet, computer, etc. It was just switched on and off.
It got to the stage where I had to do something about it. I thought the best thing would be to update the firmware.
It seemed a good bit better. Worked well almost for the entire 4 hour gig. Only once did it trigger the wrong sample. (Say I hit pad 1, pad 3 or similar became active instead).
Used it again last night and after one successful song, it became unusable.
What's happening now is that I'll load up a project and it might just start to play automatically, triggering a random clip. Sometimes, the scroll knob becomes inoperative and it just generally is useless.
Wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar and if they can help either by directing me to a post or give some advice.
I tried resetting the settings last night during the gig, but this didn't rectify anything.
I'm using a 500gb internal SSD drive for my samples. Been using the exact same setup for over a year with no issues. I'm only using the MPC for a handful of tunes in a set, so it's not overloaded and the hard drive has probably got about 99% capacity available.
Help!!!!
