MPC X Firmware 2.11 crashing problems

My MPC X has developed crashing problems since updating to 2.11 I have updated to 2.14 today but the problem still exists. I get a error message saying “please eject usb drive before removal’. Then sometimes it crashes and other times I can press okay and continue. Also midi clock output does funny things. Running a drum machine which stops and starts randomly (occasionally). Firmware 2.10 seemed more stable as I never had these issues. Anyone else getting problems? If so any fixes?

Did you reset preferences after updating?
Did you use usb update (if available, less problem than network/wifi update, idk why)?


I have mpc x, my crash probs on 2.11.3 seem to have went away after updating to 2.11.4.

Menu > preferences > info > reset preferences.

You should do this every time after updating,

In the past the manual usb update was preferred. Wifi/network update has caused me problems almost every update. Usb update worked for me every time.
