Static click sounds when turning jog wheel and pads

Hello,

Had the MPC One for a week or so now.
Notice today that it creates a small clicking noise. This happens when I turn the main rotary jog/dial wheel. Can hear it click at every turn. Also when pressing any touchscreen menu buttons as well as pads that have samples (coming from internal drive as well as SDHC. I did not notice before todays boot up. I am wearing headphones. No speakers. Nothing changed in sockets used.

Left wondering if it may be faulty in some way. Would appreciate any thoughts please.

Is the MPC completely „isolated“, nothing powered connected to it?
You may plug in the psu connector (I assume it‘s a 2-pole type) the other way around into the wall socket.
Another option is to connect an analog output to an amp with 3-pole power connection.
(you don‘t have to use the amp, it even can be off, the shield of the analog out is enough to establish a ground connection)
This is not the most technically correct way, but it often helps with ground problems.
(the clicks may be related to a ground issue)

Thank you for you reply. I use a 3 pin uk plug with the MPC ONE adapter that is included. Nothing else plugged in with the unit going direct to socket.

MPC One' s headphone jack is bit noisy. I recommend connecting the MPC to a mixer or interface with a balanced connection and using its headphone jack.

Yes! Thank you for bringing this point to the attention of my query. The problem seems to be the headphone jack. I took the main outputs to my headphone and all sounded well. I routed usb audio to my audio interface and again sounded great. I have no external speakers and I’m most sure my headphones are fine. Therefore I am of the conclusion that it’s a faulty/buggy headphone jack. It may not have been so evident to me before as I had the headphone volume low. Once past half way I can’t hear the glitching noise but only happens through the MPC headphone jack.

I’m disappointed and much afraid that this might be a common problem for more users than I. My reason for buying was to be able to use without the need of interface.

On the plus side the shop I bought from may be happy to replace and try a new machine but even then I still want to mainly use my headphones.
