Yesterday, we were trying to use MIDI to turn the arpeggiator on and off on my bandmate's MPC Key 61.

I went into Menu/MIDI Control/Hardware and selected Arp. This showed that the Arp is controlled by MIDI Control Change 67. So, while still in that window I sent CC67 and we saw the Arp button light up; sent another CC67 and it turned off. Cool.

So we exited back to the Main screen and I sent a CC67. The Arp light did not light up and the arpeggiator was not on. I'm using OnSong to send these commands. I tried different values for the CC between 1 and 127. I tried Latching and Non-Latching. Nothing made it work.

I must be misunderstanding something simple, but can't see what it might be.

Any advice would be appreciated. We're trying to get the Key 61 set up for live gigs in the near future and being able to automate this feature would be really helpful.

1 --> Did you use OnSong to send these specific midi messages ?

2 --> If this is the case, which was the midi channel used when it worked ? Perhaps going back to the main screen has set another input midi channel ?

Please investigate in that regards.
