Send program change mid-sequence on midi track

I've got a midi track, with a midi program. The midi program sends a program change to change my synth's patch.

However, in the middle of the sequence I'd like to trigger another program change but I can't figure out how to do this. I know how to send midi ccs while the sequence is playing but I don't know how to change programs.

Preferences -> MIDI_SYNC -> Program Change -> choose "Program".
After that you can send to MPC program control messages from 1 to 128, wich 1 is a program with number 1 on MPC, etc. For example, you can change Program, Track or Sequence from external midi controller, like Launchpad or from computer DAW.

i think the TS wants to send PC from the MPC, not to the MPC

so if you go into LIST EDIT, can you copy the first PC (those will be 2 events probably) into 2 other events and position the last one half way the track and change (in both copied events) the PC parameter to the one of your liking

Sorry for hijacking this old thread, but I have a similar situation: I want to send an initial program change to an external synth, which works fine with the program change function on the Main screen. But I see no way to change programs later on while the sequence is running.
The initial program change message doesn't appear in the list editor, so I can't grab an copy/change it. I tried recording the program change message by sending one to the MPC from my controller keyboard. But while that event is correctly shown in the MPCs midi input monitor, it neither gets passed on to the synth nor is it being recorded to appear in the list editor.
What can I do?

You can create program change events in the list editor, but it is carefully hidden:

List editor -> insert -> track automation. Now when you scroll through all the 128 CCs (Control Change events), you'll find the program change event. Wich is a completely different type of event, so how can one intuitively assume they're listed after the CC events.

As much as I love what it does when it works, programming the MPC One is a nightmare. Menus and parameters are scattered all over the place without any practical logic...
