Using AKAI Midimix with MPC Live >> still no lights?

Does anyone know if or when AKAI will make the LEDs on the MIDIMIX light up when used as a MIDI controller for the MPC? I have a MPC LIVE II and have been able to setup all the MIDI learn controls but have been very surprised to discover that the buttons don't light up, for example when the mute function is setup. There is no visual cue to show if a button is toggled on or off. Sounds like a pretty basic functionality but it still seems to be only working when used with Ableton.
