Wanted to check if my Live mk1 is acting up or not (preferences).

Whenever I make a Keygroup Program with more than one keygroup: (in program edit) if I switch to kg2 or higher and edit ANY parameter (cutoff, adsr), the Live makes that change but instantly switches back to focus on kg1.

It's driving me crazy trying to create and edit deeper kgp's!

Does this happen to anyone else??

That's normal behavior.

If you select the keygroup "ALL", you can edit their adsr/filter at a time. When you tap a pad, the KG appear to switch, but they are still locked at "ALL". So you can adjust the parameters of all KGs at once while checking the sound.

I'm assuming from your post that you don't have ALL selected? If so, hitting a pad will auto-select (in program edit) the keygroup whose note range covers that pad, this is probably why you see the selected keygroup changing. To avoid this, use an attached keyboard to preview your instrument and the currently selected keygroup will not change.

Oh sweet, I will try using an external midi keyboard (thanks Tutor). I get that the likely original intention of KGs is to drop a sample, then X notes up drop the next sample, but It's just so damn annoying when you want to make a deep and varied multilayered KG. Example: Using KGs like the layers in a Korg Wavestation. Many layered sounds each with unique FX and modulations happening on each layer.

Thanks for confirming guys.
