Sampling Issue with Live 2

Hi guys,

I just got an MPC Live 2 and I love it. But I went to sample from my phone today and when I play the recording on my phone and hit record on the MPC, after a few seconds of recording the MPC somehow triggers the recording on my phone to pause. So I unpause but every couple of seconds it does the same thing. It also happens when I try sampling a YouTube video on my phone, the MPC triggers the video to pause. I tried sampling from my laptop into the MPC and the same thing happens and actually triggers Siri to ask me what I need help with. I thought it may have something to do with the dongle coming from the phone but when I plug headphones into the dongle, videos play fine on the phone, no pauses.

So I think those steps eliminate the dongle, the cable and the phone from being the issue.

Has anyone else come across this issue? I am running the latest firmware version.

Since it‘s unknown what kind of phone or adaptor you are using, it‘s hard to follow where the problem might be. I myself have never had the issue.

I've had issues with other devices and modern phones, when I've used a cable that is both audio and mic. The signal from the mic, stops the audio. Might help.

3.5mm trs to 2x6.35mm TR has worked flawlessly for me.
