MPC 61 key memory problem?

Bought this three months ago but only recently gotten to creative work on it. And then suddenly all drum programs vanished. The list just has "MPC Documents" which has only empty folders and "Slice". I check the resources (the tag at the right top corner of display) - and it has no memory to show? What is happening? Further more It takes about 3 mins to start up. Memory failure? Keeps looking for the memory till time out? The sounds work. But I can not get anything to the pads.

I updated to 2.11.8 to no avail.

(I have and an extra 500 Gb exFat SSD to install but it is not yet installed. Could I circumvent the problem using that memory somehow ...)
