Using Note Repeat with external instruments?

Hi guys, using Reason and Live as my main DAWs, syncing the MPC playback. Now I wonder if it's possible to use the Note Repeat function with instruments in the DAW as well? As far I understand, it doesn't send MIDI notes to any output, just to the internal keygroups.

Is there any way to use NOTE REPEAT and possibly the ARP with external instruments or my DAW?

Note repeat and arps work just fine on external instruments. Just make sure you are using a midi program.

Can't get that working. Is there anything special I need to setup?

I use a MIDI track, the pads do trigger synths in my DAW perfectly. But Note Repeat doesn't send any notes, whether the MPC is playing or not.

The MPC has to be the master clock I believe. It can't be slaved to an incoming clock if you want the note repeat to work going to the DAW instruments.
