Panning Velocity Kit (1977)

I'm using The 1977 Session Kit - Kit-Velocity-SSK Kit B. I like a wide stereo field on things like toms. In the Pad Mixer I can change the panning, but it only seems to affect the highest velocity sample and the lower velocity samples appear to remain in the middle. Should I be doing something different or is this not possible with the velocity kits?

Each instrument is spread over multiple pads to gain the additional velocity layers, for example the Tom on pad a16 also uses pad e16, so you have to change the panning in e16 as well. The 12 velocity kick on a05 is also mapped to e05 and f05.

You can see which pads are used by each instrument by going to program edit > global and looking at the simultaneous play parameters
