Akai MPC live 2 set up

Hi
I own an old Roland MC 505 grove box
I've just bought the Akai MPC live 2 and I was wondering if there is the possibility to connect the two machines together and then make music in studio as well as playing live sets using them together?! If they are compatible, if there is any way or anything that I can possibly do?!
I literally just got the Akai MPC live 2 and I haven't really tried anything yet but I have been thinking of the possibility and the options?! Please let me know if someone have tried something like this or similar it would be appreciated

Audio & MIDI cables may help. I don't know how you plan on using both devices together, so please provide more details on. Like who's gonna be the master clock, main sequencer, why did you pick those devices, what music do you make...etc. Helps us help you.

Yes! You should be able to use them together fine. The mc505 has midi in if im not mistaken. so you could use the MPC sequencer to sequence and trigger sounds from the mc505. You could also use it to make your own synth samples. The mpc can do an auto multi sample where it automatically triggers different notes on the external synth and samples in the sound and builds it into a keygroup program that you can save on your mpc and play with.

So yeah, they should play together fine

mpc midi out--->mc midi in.
mc audio out--->mpc audio in.
go to audio tracks. set audio track one to receive audio from analog inputs 1&2, set monitor to ON.
you're good to go, and don't need any additional mixer to merge the two machines, the out of the roland will always play through the audio track of the mpc and get mixed together with the mpc's own audio.

i have been using the Roland MC-505 with the Akai MPC Live 2 & I was wondering also if I cvan actually use command the step sequencer on the akai rather then just play through my stuff from the Roland or do both as well and the capability on live performance? sorry I am still learning and yeah I am barely scratching the surface but it is great!!! Thanks
