System Clock Error!

I’ve been getting this message for a while on both my Mpc X and live went into my preferences and my date and time are correct and I’m on UTC. Can anyone fill me in on what to do to eliminate this message from popping up. Cause both my machines works fine, but this is so annoying. I cannot load up the image for some reason but I can type the message its giving me. (Your system clock may be incorrect, please insure your system date and time are correct. ERROR#400009)

I have the same message on my X, was this resolved (wanted to ask ahead of resetting to factory defaults)?

From what I understand, Akai has been chasing this bug for a while; it seems to be one of the few culprits for random plugin deactivation. Essentially, the internal (time) clock falls out of sync and needs to be reconnected to the Internet in order to calibrate. I was told by a rep that resetting preferences/reinstalling firmware has no effect. Go into your clock/location settings and make sure it's the same time as everything else. If it's not, enable WI-FI and reset. Eventually the error will go away, but it will also eventually happen again.

Part of me thinks it's an elaborate plan to keep units connected to WI-FI in order to gain user insights, BUT that's crazy talk!

Most if not all physical internal clock are built around something called a resonator. None of them are being built to be "Perfect". Accurate ones are more expensive. Cheap one will requires "sync" more frequently, typically from an external source (here ntp). In all case they require to be "synchronised" time to time. Even atomic clock (time reference) may have a "delay" after a couple of billions of years.
