SDCARD constant unmounting (MPC Live II)

I'm having a constant un-mounting issue with my SDCARD slot. And I can cause it to happen by finger tapping the MPC Live II right above the card slot, and watching the "Disk Not Ejected Properly" message in MacOS when running as controller mode. It's easily repeatable.

Seems that I need a hardware solution or fix to this issue. SAMSUNG Evo 512gb

Anyone got a fix? I'm cool opening this and bending pins if that's what it takes...

Could just as likely be an issue with the card itself, have you tried a different card?

semi-related, what's the preferred solution for recovering data from a card that still works in the MPC but won't mount on my Macbook's desktop? (yes, i carelessly removed the card without properly ejecting first. lesson learned).

i only have some incremental changes to one project since my last backup of the card to my Mac, so it's not the end of the world. but there are some custom Hype/Jura presets for this project that I'd rather not have to duplicate again if I can avoid it.

my first thought was to swap out my current forked SD card with an earlier card that still works on my Mac, save the project while it's still in MPC memory to the old card and transfer to the Mac before re-formatting the new card and restoring everything backed up previously. alternatively, i imagine i could do essentially the same thing with a flash USB drive while the project is in memory from the SD card? is it possible or worth the time to try and connect directly to the Mac via ethernet and backup in controller mode?

Did you try saving it to a USB stick?

I’ve used about 10 different micro cards (from 512gb to 8gb) and one sdcard (32GB)…

It’s not the card

Happens in standalone mode also:

If I wait, <1min, sometimes 10min… it’ll give the disk not ejected properly full screen message. Which is not subtle and really breaks my workflow.

If I tap the top panel, right above the sdcard, it reproduces every time 100%.

If I finger drum on the 16 pads, it’s very likely to happen 70-90% of the time…

I submitted a support ticket with AKAI and it’s been open ~25days without a reply. Trying Sweetwater now.
