Hi
does anyone have any info on what measurements was used in akai comps( bus compressor-vca compressor-opto compressor- vintage compressor)
cause in compressors before you go to ear side you should be exactly where you want, like on swing when you know 66/67 is the perfect triple and 50 is totally perfect four so when your ear don't help you fully the knowledge comes to your hand
in attack and release there is just 0 to 100 and you just don't know what is 0 or 100.is it in s or ms
I did some experiments to find out at least about attack and it was like it is mostly fast attack like old compressors and it becomes kinda slow in 80 to 100 but I was totally wrong cause most of my mixes sound punchy and not thick
the akai comps are really cool sounding air is great too but there is something about akai comps itself that I really want to master I kinda think it could be cause they are RMS detector I don't know.there is no gain reduction and release and attack measurements are a mystery any info on the measurements would be great
