MPC X Samplet in Controller Mode

Has anyone figured what the proper hardware settings and MPC software settings to use the MPC X Sampler in Controller Mode?

I have went through every thread in this forum, have searched YouTube, have followed the manual, but no one seems to have a direction solution, link to a video and when people advise and suggest what to do, when the person tries it, they come back and respond in the forum and pretty much that is where the topic dies.

I have my PT01 Scratch Line Outs going into Line Input of my Vestax, The Line Outs from my Vestax into the Line inputs on my Mackie Mixer, and then I have my Main Outs of the Mackie Mixer going into my MPC X Line 1 and 2, and I have even switched out the connection so that RCA cables go into the MPC X 3/4 input and set it to Line. I have also tried just going Line Out of my PT01 directly into my MPC X Line In 3/4. Out of the Mackie Mixer Control Room, it goes to my Mackie Big Knob Studio Plus. I can hear the audio from my PT01, so I know everything is connected properly there because I am getting a signal.

In my MPC Software, I have it set to Audio Track, it is in Sampler Mode, I have the inputs set to 1, 2 and I am not receiving a signal to record a sample. I also have updated the firmware.

Can someone please provide a video link on how to set up the hardware and what the settings should be in the MPC X?

I have $50 cash app for anyone who can get me up and running on it. I appreciate the help.

If you are using MPC Software as a plugin, there‘s no audio in. Instrument plugins usually only handle MIDI in. You’d need it as an FX plugin that way, but you’d lose the MIDI in capability. Sample in your DAW instead.

When using MPC Software as standalone app, make sure you have set the X as input and output interface under preferences. Also you should activate monitoring in sampler mode.
