I have a Sony PS-LX250H Belt drive turntable, nothing fancy. It works perfectly fine when I connect it directly to speakers, but when I connect the RCA inputs to my MPC, the audio quality is distorted. I tried with two different MPC Live MKI's, so I know it's not my turntable, it's not the cables, and it's not unique to one serial number MPC. Please teach me, there must be something I'm missing here....

The phono RCA inputs are definitely connected and the input switch is set to phono. My Turntable does not have a preamp.
