Plugin Volume drop??

Does anybody else have the issue where the plugins will sound at normal levels until you (sometimes) hit play then the volume of hte plugin drops to barely audible? If you switch presets the volume goes back to normal, until you hit play again.

I thought this was related to using the Tascam Model24 as an audio interface, but it happens when it's solely internal as well.

I'm not on v2.12.2 but it was also happening on v.2.11.7

I'm going to try resetting to factory defaults to see if that fixes anything, but I'm not super hopeful.

I figured it out. A MIDI controller was sending a bunch of malformed data. Once I removed it from the system everything was fine again!
