Hello,

I am a total beginner with the MPC one plus, and having issues sample recording from my ipad.

I have a 1/4 to 1/8 stereo cable with a type-c adapter for the ipad. However, when I play the audio from youtube I get no signal while on the “sampler” screen.

I have seen youtube tutorials of people doing the same thing with their iphones (lightning adapter) but I have not found any videos of people doing this with their ipads. So im wondering if it is even possible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

‘Type C’ cables and adapters can be very finicky when it comes to digital audio.
Make sure you have a compatible hub or adapter, and just as important, make sure to physically flip around (until your devices connect) the USB C connector going into the actual socket on the iPad - this one overlook has gotten me way too many times.

..also, make sure your volume is turned up on the iPad after proper connection.

then what about the headphone jack from your ipad into the sampling input into the MPC ?

I have a usb c ipad. I use an ipad usb c hub, it has a headphone jack on it. I connect that w/ stereo 1/8 ~ dual rca to a mixer or mpc inputs. I bought this exact hub.
