Man I’m bummed I got a set of pads and started to try and instal them then partway through decided not and put all the parts back together then when I restarted it there was this lag on the touch screen like I had to hit a button a few times for it to register.. also takes 5 x longer to start up when I turn it on… I dunno what the hell I bumped or did.. I know I didn’t reconnect the Wi-Fi wire cuz I didn’t think I really needed it cuz I don’t use it.. could that be causing the issue?? Anyone else have this problem ever? Sucks I was really getting into the groove now this just screws up the workflow ..
Thnx
Sorry if there’s a better place to post this I’m new..

No one has any more information nothing else to say? Not nothing no experience? One tech said it could be because I didn’t reconnect the Wi-Fi antenna to the board. Another tech said that probably wouldn’t do or caused the symptoms I’m experienci.. anything would be great

Why not reconnect the wi-fi wire and see? It wouldn't surprise me if the Live 2 was looking for wi-fi, causing your system to slow down.

Hallelujah I cannot believe I figured it out myself after talking to multiple texts and different ones, giving me different opinions on whether or not the Wi-Fi antenna being connected would have any effect that I described. I finally decided to try and reconnect to the Wi-Fi antenna wire.. I had finished doing it and it didn’t seem like it had to fix the problem then lo and behold all of a sudden I see there’s this little disc thing that looks like a little mini SD Sim card right above where the antenna wire connects to the board in my head I’m like what the hell is that Shernoff I push it and it clicks in I think to myself is that it was this the problem ?? whatever that little mini disc card thing was ..again symptoms were lag booting up (which there were a few fixes for like deleting midi learn files of which I had none) updates etc etc… it was also causing a delay on the touchscreen. I would have to hit the screen two or three times to get whatever function to register. It was just glitchy it sucked, and it made it almost impossible to make music. Well it fixed it. It’s all good now I’m just surprised out of all the text. No one told me about this little mini SIM card drive that can potentially become ejected if you’re in there messing around with anything. I was trying to swap out my pads for after market red ones… but it was a real bummer it totally made production barely doable.
