I'm doing a factory content restore and it is not working. Akai was quick with a link to the updater, and I have unzipped it, installed on a freshly formatted (exFAT) USB stick, and... it does not work.
When I start the process - either from the New Project screen or at power on - the Updating Content screen comes up (it does not ask if I want to do this, as their docs claim), and then after about 30 seconds, the process claims to be complete - but nothing has changed. I have tried this at least 5 times from the same drive, and am now unzipping the file to a new drive (this will take hours!)
Has anyone else tripped over this particular failure mode?
