Sequencer Resolution on MPC X and X-SE

In going through the MPC Bible it says on page 83 that sequencer resolution for Legacy MPCs in 96 PPQN. It then says MPC software has 960 PPQN.

I have an X-SE and the PPQN seems to be 96. Is this right? Is the X 96 as well? Did Akai go back to 96 for the X or X-SE?

Just wondering because in the MPC BIble references are in 960 PPQN. I just assumed anything new Akai made was going to be in 960 PPQN and it's a little confusing because when it says "MPC Software" if that means the firmware or the software you run on your computer. When I run software on computer it seems to be 96 PPQN as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

The resolution is 996 but the default display rounds to 96 to make it appear more like legacy mpc, I do explain this in the bible, just go to preferences > sequencer and change to 996 display
