So I did have an MPC One for maybe like, about 2 months...This was last year. I didn't like it that much. I think because I am someone who likes to make their own samples/sampling and the unit seem bloated with preset stuff. I'm a guy who typically doesn't like preset stuff. Unless it's like, a synthesizer. I use an MX49.
I also was having trouble with making my own samples and pgms and saving them correctly. I think I should give it another chance and I might be buying an MPC One very soon, maybe today.
I also have used an SP404 before and made exactly one track with it before I sold/traded it. I watched a video about the SP404MK11 and it looks a lot better than the older one.
My recent MPC excursion was a few months ago. Had a 1000. I sold it but I think I have a future in producing beats using my tape/vinyl/LP collection of classical music.
anyway- is it going to be easy/ straightforward to use the MPC One like it's a 2KXL or other MPCs? I don't use all the bells and whistles when I 'mpc' I just like rearranging chopped samples.
you can hear one I made with the 1000

and this one too:

and this one as well- this is an EP that I made with an MPC Studio black.

So- I'm not apposed to buying another MPC Studio, or the Ren even. Is this a good move? The ONE is so affordable though. I usually buy new Schitt on zZounds because of the payment plan. I could get an MPC One for like 60$ a month so that wouldn't hurt. It feels more affordable to go that route then to find a Ren for example, which could be in the same ballpark as a new ONE.
SO-
Should I know anything about the MPC One before buying it? It works like an MPC right? Any glaring issues with the work flow? Especially saving and making your own pgms and samples.

to order because of potential that might never be met. Because in the end it’s Ableton and it will always be Ableton. Which I have left many moons ago and never used since then if it wasn’t to export some old projects that I wanted to pick up on again.
