Help Me Unbrick My MPC One

Tried to update my firmware.
Followed the instructions to update it by usb cable to my PC. Software said it was updated, but the unit was bricked.
Have now tried to update it with USB thumbdrive using the manual update mode.
I get a screen that says "Update Mode" and a USB icon and nothing else happens.
Have tried two different usb thumb drives, both formatted fat32.
Have tried the last two firmware versions.
Any suggestions?

Fixed it!
I originally downloaded an earlier firmware (2.7) and that seems to have bricked it. Now running 2.12.3
