So I’ve been literally a die hard Akai MPC fan and user since my little red and blue MPC 1000 to my black 2500, the my live 1, and now my live 2. Shoot, I’ve even bought relic MPC’s that were made in the 80’s. So let’s just say I’ve worked so hard to purchase these incredible instruments and was so stoked to finally have found the way to purchase it straight from the box. I open it, and it is was glowing and was so looking forward to charging it and then taking it to a location of my choice to create. But holy crap!!! Come on Akai? What’s up with your quality control department. Just spent a whole lot of money and never had any problems with any of my past MPC’s. Hell I bought a used live 1 and that worked like a champ for years. This is a 2000.00 to 2300.00 dollar investment and the place I bought it from in the Hawaiian Islands get 1 or 2 a year and this was the last one unopened in the box. Why is this not charging when it says 100% and what’s my options as far as getting this replaced? Super disappointed and was looking at the MPK by Native Instruments. Thinking I could of have saved this coin that took forever to save for in the first place. This isn’t something I’d expect from what I had in my mind as the best piece of gear period and now I’m like ….ummm … no. What should I do being on an island and is there a way to have me fix this shity problem I’m having with my brand new broken Akai MPC live 2?
