The Wifi is not working on this Key 37 to update the firmware. It give an error message, it accepts the wifi passcode but won't do anything else via wifi so i can't get the free synth.

Before I take it back, have anyone else had this same issue?

Hi,

yes, i have the same problem. Can't update with WiFi. I updated with my computer connected. And the WiFi is working with Splice and i can download plugins too.
But i have not received my free plugin voucher until now. So, you think it's because of the WiFi update problem? (I have wpa2 encryption and 2.4 GHZ btw. )
This is driving me crazy, .hell, i want my free plugin..i tried everything else. Why they made this so complicated? Other than that really like the Key 37 and will stay with it.

I had the exact same problem.
Couldn't update using wifi or ethernet.
Couldn't update using HotSpot on my phone.
I reboot modem and reset preferences 100 times. It connects to wifi and internet but error message with updating and couldn't access inmusic store or see my free plugin offer. I scanned QR code and logged into inmusic account but the voucher did not show up in my profile.

I also tried to load expansion packs with mpc connected to my laptop and it would not recognize my USB drive.

Eventually I got sick of trying and I have now returned it for full refund. I really wanted this thing but I guess I'm just gonna wait until they figure it out because I'm not trying to power down, reload wifi and reset preferences a million times and burn the engine out. Shame

I called Akai, they said they said they identified the problem and they are working on a fix that should be in place sometime soon, and the voucher system would be updated in the process. So things are looking hopeful, before that, it was kinda frustrating thinking Akai would possibly never identify the problem and would never fix the issue. I'm digging this unit a whole lot and think it's worth every penny to me, and didn't want to have to send this unit back under no circumstances. So I'm glad it wasn't the unit itself.

Thanks for the update! Hopefully they can fix the problem soon. I thought I had bought a faulty machine so I sent it back but if they can identify the issue and fix it I'll purchase again because I was loving this MPC. I wonder why this happened to only a few people?

I have constant wifi issues with my key61. Always have. I've found the best method is to do the updates from your computer via usb & the updater app. I only then use wifi (which is still inconsistent in this capacity and sometimes requires cad cable from my modem) to authorize my stuff after updating. PITA, but Akai stuff has always been a PITA in these ways

My voucher showed up in my account now. But the wifi issue of being able to update via wifi is still there because I get that same wifi server message. This is what I hope they are working on to completely fix.

I have an MPC X and Key61 in the same room and neither have this Wifi server issue that the Key37 has. But as long as they claimed to have to determined the problem, I guess someday this problem may get fixed. Wifi updates really isn't all that bad of a problem as you can update via USB. But when some other action requires a Wifi connection and the problem still not fixed is the thing I look ahead too. But I have faith in them to fully resolve this issue in the future as they have said.

I have something in my account now too..but i don't understand. It's a serial and not a voucher code..how i redeem the instrument of my choice? because this serial number don't work when i checkout in the mpc plugins store. Or do i need to insert the serial in my device?

EDIT: I see now there is this link named GET SERIAL under Redeem Voucher, but if i click it, it says: THERE IS NO SERIAL CODE LEFT, OR SERIAL CODE IS NOT FOUND.

Great Akai! :WTF: Anybody else with this problem?
