I don't think so but can you change the font and colours of the GUI within MPC Live? (or X) i.e. that grey and red.

Is there no demand for this? I think the current theme is dated and just not slick at all. Feels like a placeholder for something better.

If not officially, is there a hack?

Is there a way to make the suggestion/feedback to Akai?

I feel a fresh lick of paint would spruce up the device for long term users and newbies who don't like the current look. The default combination of font and colours is not doing it for me. Decreases my inspiration slightly.

I feel exactly the same way about this. I love everything about the MPC Live other than the GUI. It would be so good to be able to choose between a few different themes for the hardware as t would make the user experience so much better per individual user.

I gotta say I do like it a lot more than the live yes.
It’s just so much more Aesthetic.
It’s mainly just the colour choices that I don’t like on the Live. Grey and dull red just doesn’t do it for me at all. Even the main screen layout could be more aesthetic. It’s just been very “Microsoft paint” vibes for the passed few years.
I did think, when the force came out years ago that we might get a different theme in an mpc update but it never happened. Then again with the new X SE, I though they might do a different theme but…. nothing.
Things like the mixer and the mute pages could definitely benefit from a revised layout mainly for actual live use with the touch screen.
I’d love there to be a black background with oled style crisp white text with other functions in red and blue etc. pretty much like the force

I would prefere if the red bar on top of everything would be black, i really find red uninspiring^^

Yea it’s just a simple colour scheme change that would be really welcomed. Like a 3000 theme with white text on blue background or a 1000 theme with green background and black text and then a force style theme.

I seen those screens with Black and Orange a while back. I think it was Black Writing. I don't know why, but when I look at a picture of it compared to other screen color combinations, the Black and Orange seems to relax my eyes the most. I could be crazy though and in a week hate it... Ya know? Like it's Orange ffs... Not far off from Red... lol. I remember using Blue and White. It was cool. I actually like the Original Screen on the Mpc2kclassic too.

I stare at computer screens all day for work in visual fx and anything white on a screen can be painful at times.

Totally agree.
Has anyone ever used the SP16 from pioneer? The gui on that was excellent. It was sleek and smooth with really nice contrast from foreground and background.
At this point I’d pay for the privilege of themes

Different skin & color options would be dope, especially if we can make our own.

Yea man the black/white screens on the 1k/2500 were so nice. Completely changes the feel of the machine.
It’s strange isn’t it hot something that doesn’t directly interfere with the sound of a machine can have such an impact on how you use it purely based on the enjoyment of using it, which, as a result, will definitely influence the sound in some way.

Yeah it's crazy how just the screen & text color can make a major difference. It's like watching an old B&W movie & forgetting about color because the story is so captivating.

As previously stated it was suggested that the force OS was the template for the mythical v3 of the mpc software; but that notion may have been abandoned.
