I've been wanting to import audio clips that I've already recorded before to use as instrument bases and play over them. I've downloaded them into a pendrive and plugged it in my MPC 61 KEY, and I want to put it as Audio track.
I understand that the MPC is not really a DAW..

The complete tutorial guide to the MPC X, MPC Live & MPC One
Off the top of my head: browse to your audio file, load it. Go to audio track, "Edit audio" -> "Browse samples", select your file in the popup, "Do it".
The obvious way is to use the samples as audio tracks but, if you want track mutes, you may rather use those samples in a drum program.
