Download Plugins on to sd card?

Seems not possible unless I'm doing something wrong, says I need to pick a drive or something but I assumed sd card would be fine but not?.

The plugins are part of the OS itself, what you download and can install on a SD card are assets (skins, presets, samples for the plugins that use samples...), the OS updates are installed on the default internal drive.

On the activation screen you should be able to select any disk as the place to store all your plugins, including an external sd card. Can you elaborate on what happens when you try to select it at the bottom of the screen ? What format is the sd card and is it recognised and usable in the browser?
