Assign audio tracks to pads to mute/unmute

Hey everyone I'm new to the MPC world and in dire need for some wisdom
I am using the MPC for live performance and have loaded individual tracks taken from Logic (drums, bass etc) into a project for each song. Is there a way I can assign each track to a pad to mute/unmute the tracks easily whilst the song is running?

Simply load your audio files into another type of track, such as clip or drum or keygroup then sequence your audio files that way. You'll have access to pad mutes.

Indeed no track mutes (nor of course pad mutes) for audio tracks - my workaround is to load the long samples in drum programs, which have all that.

I feel you on that. I only needed audio track if I'm working with long samples like vocals from a song or movie or something. Drum Programs are the better option in most cases.
