Hi,

I'm working on the MPC Key 37 and I'm trying to record a melody using the internal synth as a midi track and then edit the synths perameters (level, cutoff, enivonment etc.) whilst using the pre-recorded melody to create a new track/sample/audio that has all the live synth edits. Is this even possible?

I hope this makes sense I'm kinda new to all this

Any help is greatly appreciated!

WELCOME

Internal Synth is a PLUGIN track.
After you perform your plugin track.

You can resample your main out audio, solo the plugin track, in SAMPLER choose RESAMPLE 1+2, press play to record your playback. Now you have an audio sample of your playback. Put that sample in a DRUM program on a pad and there you go.

That’s an overview, I’m not sitting at my machine right now, you’ll see the pages and be able to figure out the details from there.

You can record, using overdub record, and tweak any parameter, it will be recorded live, if the automation option is « on »

You can also open the grid editor or the step
Seq, touch the « velocity » label to expand the selector and chose any parameter tou want and tweak it as you need.

All the buttons of the synths are automatable, plus every option on the « insert » fxs.

Thanks for the useful info! Unfortunately you can't edit a synth whilst resampling L&R as it just cuts the sample when you push program edit to get to the synth controls.

THIS! This is the answer I've been looking for! Thank you so much, I knew it had to be a simple thing like 'I didn't have the automation button ON!' :WTF:
You have my eternal gratitude :worthy:
This has opened so many doors!

I know that. I thought you wanted to record your whole performance including twists and turns and then "re-sample" to an audio file.
