yup am also waiting for Jura; but currently its still $150, which is just a crazy price, I think all these plugins should be in the $30 to $40 range.

I did not it seems Mini D has been out for several years; but when checking online it seem like its only been out a year, so am scratching my head, I thought Jura came out last year and Mini D came bout 2-3 years ago.

I activated this no problem, what's the issue?

The concept of paying them to unlock effects synth engines is crazy to me. This stuff already exists in your machine, when you purchase a "plugin" all it does is add a key to the mpc. The mpc software scans for the pressence of these keys and unlocks components (again, that already exist) in your software.

You guys are investing your real money into begging akai to unlock a component of the software in the machine you already bought... and folks wonder how wealth is redistributed. Magic beans y'all.. magic beans.

How do we unlock them without paying for them?

The problem is that the system often demands reactivation at unpredictable intervals. You could be setting up for a gig in a place with substandard wi-fi, and the system decides it needs to reactivate everything. You're stuck. Of course this doesn't matter to a lot of people, and others can work around it, but the fact is that it does happen.

Well, no. This is a product they've created, they want to be paid for it, and is it is up to them to decide how to do that. There's no reason for them not to be paid for their products. The problem here is that they chose a method of taking payment that doesn't work reliably.

I bought the mini D when it first came out. I have a LIVE(not 2), and a FORCE, no problem! Today I got a MPC X SE and both MiniD and Jura wont activate. They show up in activations but when I press the button I get Could not validate from the server(licence status:8). so I deactivated it in the LIVE and tried again and it activates fine in the LIVE. So I then deactivated it in the LIVE and tried to activate it in the MPC X SE same bloody result. I paid good money for it, a lot more than $30 and I can't use it in my new MPC. I wish I had never bought it. Went down the park with the LIVE a while ago both the bought plugin's had deactivated themselves and I couldn't use it WHY all this crap with plug ins, I never get problems with Maschine plugins!

I got a similar deal a year ago.
I'll get Jura when it's the same, not before.

They system is horrible. Try activating them at home or where ever, than turn off wifi & reset to make sure they still active then go the somewhere else & see if that helps. None of the cash add-ons should even be a problem.

They are quite fine at taking payment, its the giving of the goods they seem to have trouble with.
