Record sample (in SAMPLER page) whilst adjusting parameters?

Hello,

I am trying to resample a sample on the SAMPLER page and automate the parameters of FX etc in real time and record the outcome. My problem is that whenever I come off the SAMPLER page, after hitting record and entering a different page to tweak parameters, I move back to the page to finish the recording and it seems to have stopped and not recorded anything.

Is this way of working just not possible or is there something I am missing? do you HAVE to be on the SAMPLER page at all times for it to record the output? I hope that makes sense.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

If you leave the sampler page I assume this would stop the recording. Maybe consider using audio tracks instead.

Record the automation and then convert to sample?

Damn that sucks. The Force can do this. Try recording it untouched & make the edits after. That way you'll have more control. Or do what Jaymack said.

Looper runs in background, just set it to 16 bars, that should be enough to resample something.
