Physical controls for Grid navigation and selection?

I have an MPC Live 2, which is a lot of fun, but it's a pain to move around the grid, zoom and select notes. I don't like working with touch screens much - it's why I'm on MPC rather than iPad.

Can any physical controller give me the kind of physical Grid controls I see on the MPC X - next note, prev note, next bar etc? Perhaps an Akai controller? I've tried to map midi controllers, but unlike a DAW, the important stuff wasn't mappable, maybe Akai want us all to buy an X, but I bought the Live for its portability.

Am I missing something? Have Akai added any new shortcuts or key combos recently? Does MPC 3 add anything, e.g. are QLink mappings better or more flexible?

I mentioned this too last year. Being able to navigate to grid blocks with the arrow and scroll wheel. Holding shift while doing the above to select entries the bar forward and back buttons to skip bars.

Coming from the grid editor on jjos I found the touchscreen a little tedious.
