So did Akai is just hit star dust with 3.0 and subfactory.

I was one of the loudest critic's of the NuAkais, on all fronts from UI to the sound of plugins and FX.

Now Sufactory has given me hope, it sounds awesome (that moog juno thing are also cool, the FM thing sounds a bit too much like VST (8-bit FM emulator would be welcome)

but Subtactory is impressive Im assuming its using some sort of oversampling (why its mono?).. yet hoping that this quality will be transferred to granular and freeze plugins, future instrument, reverb (especially) and signal processors if CPU allows/ or until new MPCs with faster core will come forth.

And considering how well team AirKai has done on the new Flow Im confident they can reverse the 85% touch screen flow to new MPC tactical hardware that will have that same quality of thought behind it (even though it might look more like a Linn Instrument vs a MPC 8) ..
(Dear Akai a Great UI =two click max; to anything of value)

my personal worries where the program and mutes issues which Andy Mac cleared up (mutes are coming and loaded programs live in a list) so I'm quite convince that the 3.0 is nothing but improvements as is.

A whole block of workflow gone, 8 layers per pad in the fastest sampling environment in the biz and (if not mistaken) highly flexible midi routing/send a track to multiple destinations all in a fresh looking workspace

Honestly if they can update the plugs to top quality I only see four things missing as a core elements

1) advanced step sequenceer with MIDI step FX (+ generative algos)
2) routing of pads/samples through Plugins (replacing a OSC source) for modulations, filter/ envelopes and fx possessing
3) Modeled Filters and envelops in the sampler
4) ....Im keeping to myself ..as its in my own design ideology and no one has it :fku:

Is it to soon to  .. I for one take my hat off..

3.0 looks amazing and sufactory sounds ace ..
Looks like Akai future is a bold new world
:smoker:
