My usb port 1 is not working port 2, and the computer usb are working. I know if l plug a usb stick in it lights up but not recognised. Inspection of the port looks undamaged. Any clues for a fix?

Format isnt an issue as its recognised by port 2, l thought those duel usb's ran off the same circuit?

is it a used unit ? have you open it, to see if there is anything relevant ?

Oh yes, l bought it new, way past warranty. All the solder anchor points look fine, the port looks good too. lt must be some communication error as the port is out putting voltage. Perhaps it has something to do with pulling out a usb stick without ejecting?
