Controlling Digitakt 2 Mixer with MPCX Q-Links Issue

Hey everyone, I'm trying to control my Digitakt 2s mixer with my MPCX Q-Links and am running into an issue.

I can get everything working in Midi Control by assigning each Q-Link knob to Ch.1, 2, 3, etc and CC95. No issues.

The problem is with Q-Link Edit. I can assign CC95 to each of the knobs but they all point to CH.1 so I can't control the volume of any channel other than track 1 on the Digitakt 2. What am I missing???

EDIT: I guess I have to be in Midi Control mode to do what I want to do, which kind of sucks. I would love to be able to be on the main screen and adjust the Digitakt mixer. Guess I'll have to buy another controller....

You can use MIDI Control Mode on your MPC hardware to customize what MIDI messages
are sent from certain controls on your hardware. This custom “control map” will then work
whenever you are in MIDI Control Mode.

the problem is that you need to send CC's messages on different channels from the same port.
And , there is no way to do that in a single "page"

I m not familiar with Digitakt, but it looks like it's the same CC's number used to receive volume controle for each track. If there is a way to set the Digitakt to receive volume control in other way ( different CC 's number rather than different Midi channels) ?? Midi implementation of Digitakt will tell.

If not : you need to confgure your midi CC's messages to switch to the desired midi output for the desired track.

2 ways to achieve this

Using MIDI CONTROL

Define all midi CC's number you need for a single track. You now must change midi channel out of Midi control mode to set .. another track
you should try to go to the Preferences where you can select the Midi Channel and port for MIDI CONTROL output , it's in the options either in MIdi / sync tab, or in Hardware or Sequencer tab ( i can't check right now). but you can't easily switch it while playing , you have to go to preferences, etc...


Using a MIDI PROGRAM
Better way to control your Digitakt is to use a Midi program on a track, this midi program can be fully edited to control your mixer, and in the relative "program" Qlink settings you can select each CC's you need (not only mixer, but , I guess, FX, parameters,etc..) , and... Welcome to automations of CC's within the MPC sequencer !!!

BUT you still have the midi output channel fixed on one channel ...You still control one track at a time.

No way in the MPC architecture to send MIDI on several channels from one TRACK or MIdi control only.


2 workarounds but :

1) using only one MIDI program : you can switch its output channel from program tab in main menu (using jog wheel)

2)Duplicate your midi program as much as needed to control each Digitakt track's, sending it on any wanted channels, and navigating quickly with MAIN long press + PAD to select the corresponding track.
And you can fully automate each track of your digitakt . Imagine all that you can do with CC's on a Digi. Each sequence of your mpc can be a "Mix Scene / Mix Snapshot" for your digitakt , using automations.
