MPC 3 loads a default kit on boot-up. How can I prevent that

How can I prevent my MPC One (v3.4 beta) from loading a default kit ("Trap-Kit-Default")? I can purge the samples, but I have no idea how to delete the program it loads. So my other question is: How can I delete a program from memory?

Preferences > project load/save > new project default > empty project

After deleting the drum program, purge the unused samples. Alternatively, loading a different kit into the track will remove the original kit and its samples, so loading an empty drum program will delete both the kit and its samples.

Worth noting that you can disable the purging action of loading a new kit into a track via the gear icon in browser

Thank you for your reply! The first step (which I underlined above) is what I'm desperate to figure out. Can you elaborate on that?

I think what you're looking for is hitting the pencil on the right, and hitting "delete track." Remember in OS 3, the workflow is completely switched up so a track and a program are basically one. So when you delete the track that contains the PGM you want to delete, it deletes the PGM.

I'm still adapting myself but I'm 99% sure that's how it goes now.

I discovered an interesting shortcut On the main screen, tap the track number of the drum track name, switch to a MIDI track, and then switch back to the drum track. The kit will be deleted (samples will not be purged).

fun fact: 'empty project' is not actually empty as it has a delay and reverb applied to the the return busses.

Tu as aussi la possibilité de créer ton propre template de départ - avec fx send ou submix par exemple, cela t'évitera de devoir les charger à chaque session
