Akai Expansions Deactivating MPC ONE

Hello Forum. I see there was some forum activity last year regarding plugins needing reactivation. I'm not sure if this is the same problem but here's what I've experienced today:
I bought four expansion packs from the Inmusicbrands site. I activated them 'standalone' through the internet connection and installed to my SD card.

When restarting the MPC and trying to load the purchased synth plugins I got the message to log in to my account and activate.

I activated several times, removed and reinstalled on the SD card, and each time was directed to 'activate' as above.

The only way I was able to get around this is to disconnect the LAN cable without logging out from the server. Now, when I restart the MPC, the plugins are there and work. Hopefully that will remain so, but, were I to buy more expansions from Inmusic, I'd expect I'd have to reactivate (?).

Anybody know more about this than I do??

Please correct me s.o. if I am wrong, but I think this is how its ment to be, you need to stay logged in on your account.
I assume this is so that you can
a) transfer your licenses to a different machine
b) transfer the machine to a different person, without your extra licenses
so it seems to make sense.

I didn’t realize that activation is required for expansions.

Yeah I'm confused here. First you say expansions. Then you talk about plugins..

I think it’s just the plug-in expansions that need to be activated.

Yeah I'm probably confusing terms, what I did was buy Fabric Collection, Jura, Stage EP and Studio Strings. So when i finished the activations I clicked on the log out release before I pulled the LAN cable. So maybe that's the trouble, not supposed to log off? I'm still brand new to the MPC world and could very well have missed -- or misunderstood -- some bit of the process.

This is all 'stand alone' as I say, not using the Synth Manager or downloading for desktop...fyiw

Don't log out; after logging in and activating you can take your MPC offline (indefinitely in theory), but you need to stay logged into your account. If you hit 'log out' it will ask you to log back in and will deactivate everything until you do so.

Seems a little counter-intuitive, but that's what we'll do.

Dont think of it as being "logged in" its not a login, its a registration of your profile with your machine. it's a token of sorts that is populated to say to the mpc software "i am legitimate" once your profile is tied to the machine then you can download and use your purchased "plugins" (which are actually not plugins of any sort) provided your mpc posesses said authentication token. if you unlink your profile by "logging out" all your plugins are deactivated. They as well download individual tokens that tell the software "hey this plugin is enabled". as well periodically you will be required to re-authenticate it seems.
