Mpc compatible key boards

Any try hook up the exquis 61 by intuitive instruments in standalone or at all. Kind of want to buy one but I've had mixed results with different keyboards also curious if anyone's tried the sh201 by Roland or the Gaia

I use Moog Subsequent-37 and/or Kronos2 with my MPC X (standalone, no computer).
Kronos2 and Moog are USB (old (printer) plug usb 2.0 cable) connected to a powered 3.0 USB hub.
The powered 3.0 USB hub is connected to an MPC X USB port in back.
This makes the Kronos2 and Moog controllers for MPC X instruments.

Red side is still intact.
Blue side, I move/switch around alot.

What didn't work for you? I cannot imaging what can fail if you connect them via the DIN MIDI jack. And I even would expect that all USB keyboards work properly.
