The knob is just a 3d render of AIRs modern flat TUI aesthetics - I wouldn’t take it as a guide.
I’ve seen a slightly larger image yesterday somewhere - there is a smaller, thin knob next to it labelled as *CO (DCO/VCO ?). That could suggest some sort of vocoder maybe (?). On the other hand 3 decades would take us to the mid 90s/early 2000s where there was plenty of Eventide-esque rack modules - Harmonizers / Digital Reverbs etc… Cutoff doesn’t have to be a main feature of this plug and it looks like its placed towards left edge of the render so it’s not centered enough to be a main feature (could be kind of decoy). I don’t believe they will give a $99 „just like that” - price is arbitrary and I guess it will go down to something like $39 or so (Ether is $79). I’ll bet we will see a „pro” version of this thing months after. My 5 cents

EDIT:
Actually I’ve never opened 2.15.1 - I wonder if there is anything in it ?
EDIT2:
I took another glance at it and that smaller knob might be as well a „MOD” knob - too blurry and I’m not getting any younger lolol
