One would assume that a new major version (x in x.y) starts with a 0 as in 3.0.

It doesn't trouble me at all, but I'm curious to hear why we get 3.4 and not 3.0.

They were working on 3.0...then had to fix some major sh*t. Then came 3.1...Fix somethin major...Then 3.2...3.3...3.4.0104...3.4.xxxx....3.x...and so on

If they add the functionality of the force to the MPC, would a Novation Launchpad be able to replicate the 8x8 pads the Force has for clip launching?

Clip launches have disappeared in MPC 3.4, but I hope they come back. But if they do one would assume they reappear the fashion of the Force.

Did Akai say anything about clip launches for 3.4?

No, AKAI said nothing about clip launch in 3.4 .

I suggest you fill the issue form and ask them directly.

I mentioned it in my submission of the general feedback form, asking to get it back.
