Inmusic has a plot at 204A/B; all their sub brands are listed so not a pure Akai plot;

I see Moog, Numark, RANE, M-audio, Denon, etc but Akai is the top of the list beneath In Music.

So probably they will just be showing the same beta software, or maybe the latest version of the beta software, I doubt any new hardware would be on display.

Maybe they will show the different ways MPC crashes with beta?
Creative crash?

I did not know the beta had issue with crashing; I rolled back to 2.15 pretty soon after trying the beta, as was not liking how they changed the audio engine/gain staging in the new beta, as old beats opened in 3.0 were heavily distorted.

I have been happy with 2.0; the only thing I wanted from 3.0 was the mixer; and arranger that allowed external instuments to be played in from a linear view, as I dislike how audio tracks is implemented on 2.0.

Also I prefer the old main screen from 2.0 vs the new minimalistic 3.0 main page.

Beta is still on a messy situation.
No 100% compatibility with MPC2 projects, qlink assignments in project mode get lost, track mutes unpredictable working and non working, bugs here and there, crashing easily.
Still a long way to go before it gets stable.
I am in your same boat, I like the idea of an arranger and disk streaming, I also like macro qlinks, but I am enjoying now how stable is 2.15.1 and a lot of projects I have are made with a a single program of samples spread in many tracks.
So I am really not happy that MPC3 will not allow the same program to be spread in different tracks and I don't love the idea that I will have to remake all my projects.

I have no recurring crashing issues. MP3 crashed only one, while the last of the 2.x I have used was complete creap and crashed all the time.

But... I don't use old MPC2 projects. I'm fooling around with new projects.

Unfortunately some bugs make it unusable for real world (professional) use.

The last Mpc2.x was crashing all the time?
Which one?
Mpc 2.15.1 never crashed since I started using it and it's flawless for me.
Mpc3beta crashed 4 times in 2 hours I tried it before I said byebye goodluck and went back to 2.15.1.

I don't recall hence the x. I've put aside the MPC for more than a year. From all I read Akai managed to get 2.x back on track. At the time I "left" the tenor everywhere was not to upgrade but to stick what was the last known working version for their purposes.

I'm glad to hear that 2.15.1 is so good.

Yeah it's been highs and lows but finally they got it right, now MPC2 is stable, no crashing and no major bugs.
It seems that this is the final step before starting again with new highs and lows with MPC3.
But at least now I can stay with 2.15.1 until 3 becomes stable.

My only "crash" in 3, occurs after I Stem and Chop a Sample. Not necassarily a Crash, but it prevents me from Saving a XPJ(Project) to any location. It happens every once in awhile. In order for it to stop happening to me...is to Bounce any Stem to a WAV. Then delete the Original Stem, and load that Bounce WAV...and create from there.

My experience with 3 was old projects not loading completely, crash as I made a new project and loaded a plugin, Opx4 got unauthorised, crash as I tried to make some macros qlinks, visual bug on track mutes, then I said, ok, let's see next year :)
