I am looking for this very very basic feature, it's an hour I look in sample edit, program edit, inside all fx but I cannot find any way to swap L and R of a sample.
Where the hell is it?

Crazy.
So if you duplicate a stereo sample, and maybe change the pitch or whatever of the duplicate, you want also to invert L and R, so the two samples don't take the same space on the stereo image.
That's ABC of mixing.
It's crazy there is no channels swap on MPC.

I don't make the rules. Send Akai your feedback & request them to add it to MPC3. Most people don't ever bring this up, so it's not a top thing on their list, but it should be simple for them to add it.

There's a solution to what you want to do:

In Sample Edit, you edit your sample (which is in stereo) by going to the Process tab, then go to Function Stereo>Mono.
First select LEFT and save the sample (naming it "Left", for example).
Then go back to editing your stereo sample by doing the same thing, but this time select RIGHT and save the sample (naming it "Right", for example).
Then create a DrumProgram and go to ProgEdit
On an empty pad of your choice in the SAMPLES tab, in the first layer select the “Left” sample.
In the second layer, select the “Right” sample.
Then in the second page of the SAMPLES tab, pan the “Left” sample to +50 and the “Right” sample to -50.
Your stereo sample is inverted. You can even bounce it if you only want one file ;)

That's so complicated.
I wonder why they didn't put a channel swap on the Air stereo width plugin, it would be the most obvious thing to do.
How can you forget something like that on a sampler? It's obvious you will want to invert the channels when you use the same stereo sample with different settings.
By the way, I also notice there is no phase invert option.
I mean, I think it takes not more then an hour to code such easy features.

I don't know how long you've been using the new versions of MPC, but in the early days you had to use a lot of workaround to get certain things done. As far as coding is concerned, if it were so easy to “add a few lines of code”, there wouldn't be any bugs for a long time.
I'm taking my time to give you a solution to your problem, when with some research or just reading the manual you'd have found your answer, and you're not even able to say thank you. This action literally takes 30 seconds, so stop whining about details.
I agree with you about phase inversion, but it's not that complicated either, you just have to use a DAW, the MPC isn't a daw and never will be, despite the direction akai is trying to take. I don't like the fact that I can no longer assign several tracks to the same program, so I'm sticking with 2.15 and running with it!
By crying over everything, no one will answer you anymore.
English is not my mother tongue and I use a translator. So be a little more respectful with people who take the time to answer you.

@ Maldon

I am not crying about anything, I am just shocked to find out there is no channel inversion.
Even my Commodore 64 had one.
It's so easy to do it, it has anything to do with bugs, it's just an ABC missing feature, that's it.
And yes, I have MPC since 2018.
Thanks for the tip and have a nice Sunday.

I just use standalone.
I didn't even install the software.
Thanks anyway, someone told a complicated workaround for a feature that I thought it was not possible it was missing.
But, as they say in Azerbaijan, "it is what it is".

Complicated workaround ? Create 2 samples and reunite in 1, it's complicated... you're a clown

What's wrong with you, my friend?
You can duplicate your track as many times you want on MPC3, no need to complain for how they change the structure.
You are a cry baby.

I don't think you need to install the software. In computer/controller mode, the MPC's SSD drive should be visible to your computer like any USB drive.

@housewithoutmouse

Yeah, I know I can swap channels with computer, I use Audition to edit my samples before porting them on Mpc internal ssd.
I just needed something fast when working with standalone, I mix keeping the music flowing.
Duplicate sample, change the pitch of duplicated one, invert the channels, as you usually do with ANY music multitrack since Vic20 times.
Thanks anyway, I will figure it out

For this precise subject, try duplicating a drumsynth plugin track and you'll see. And try organizing your tracks to use them as mute tracks, for example drum in pad 1-5-9-13 etc...
The MPC 3 isn't perfected at all yet (and that's normal, it's a beta). Complaining about the “one track one program” or the various midi bugs is justified, but complaining about a L R inversion when it's perfectly possible to do it by taking 30s of your time is ridiculous. You know the eternal victims: it's everyone else's fault, it's shameful that the mpc doesn't do this or that.

You're really sarcastic and you're not capable of respecting people who offer you solutions... If you're not happy with your MPC, take an Octatrack or a Maschine and you'll see that despite its MANY problems, the MPC really is an exceptional tool.

Edit: I don't read all of your last reply, so excuse me to be so rageous, but people complaining is boring me.
