As we all know, idleness is the root of all evil. So while the good people at Akai is busy making OS3 stable and relatively bug free, why not gather some suggestions to help them further improving this particular new and powerful aspect of their product? All free of charge off course
These things tend to get abstract quickly so some description of what it does or example of what it allows for would be helpful to add to your suggestion(s).
I have two:
1) Sample loop points as destinations. Ensoniq style. By modulating both points by the same source and with the same amount, the loop will "travel" through the sample, creating cool "morphy" sound effects with certain samples while keeping the loops original length and pitch.
An option for modulating both points at the same time would off course be even better as it would free up one source, but at any rate there still should be the option to modulate either of them in isolation, say for pitch bouncing effects.
2) Modulation amount of each destination slot being assignable as a destination for any of the source slots in the matrix. Great for complex sound effects and experimental rhythmic mayhem
