I have to give it to Akai, they are pushing things forward!

I know we love our mpc's, and usually when we are not posting about news, leaks, etc., we are complaining or seeking help about a problem, but I just felt like posting a appreciation with what Akai is doing with their products as of recently.

Are things perfect? Not at all, but I'm just appreciative that they are hearing some of our concerns in the community, and actually innovating to go forward. The sound library, the joint deal with NI, portability, and on going updates, definitely feels like a upgrade.

Thats just my 2 cents and rant. Hopefully Akai keeps it up. Wishing nothing but peace and prosperity for everyone!

I hope they push that Force update forward & didn't lie about MPC3 being out of beta.

Lol, I think of myself more as a MPC Loyalist (someone that loves the brand, will give a great product they a shot (want it to last a long time though), but not obsessed over everything they make), like not a fanboy (I'm not trying to buy the mpc se when I have a live 2, and every plugin they release, I think thats fool hardy). You can check my post, I usually call them out on the sh*t all the time, but its more of constructive criticism, not just bashing them or expecting everything to be perfect.

Heheh yeah, I'm pretty much in the same boat, though I'm not even what I would consider a "loyalist". I have plenty of other gear that still gets use; I just really like my MPC (and Force).

This is pretty much me as well. I have plenty of criticism and wish they'd do some things differently, but I tend to be constructive and "glass half full". I also recognize that they're just people and have families, and don't deserve the sort of mindless hate that I see some critics throw at them.

Maybe it's my delivery, or maybe it's because I refuse to be a bastard, but I have no problem being labeled a simp just because I don't buy into the crowd hate mentality that many seem to enjoy.

I suspect that many of the chill ones have some experience in software development, making it harder for them to cast the first stone at the poor bastards who have to maintain and expand this multi-generational legacy contraption.

I don't understand why Akai doesn't prioritize MIDI (Note Off bug dammit) and sequencing (MIDI effects please !) more (yes, they don't generate direct revenue, but they are core functionality and would benefit everything else) but, apart from that, I consider ourselves lucky that the software is not only maintained but upgraded too: that is an uncommon level of support.

Akai is more than the MPC. It's a punch in the face of Force users to hear someone say let's appreciate a company that abandoned a great product who os is now being ported to another 1 of the products. Trust me, I would love to be in that meadow with you (never thought I said that on this forum ) but until Akai update the Force I can't relate but I do get where your coming from bases on the improvements they made to MPC. I'll stay positive in hope that once that MPC3 get stable they'll update the Force. Enjoy your flower & protect you nuts!

Nah man, stop ruining it for the rest of us. In the mpc community you should be complaining non stop about everything and never stop asking for more more MORE features to be introduced all the time at the drop of a hat while simultaneously trashing as useless all the features that are being introduced.

I think its stupid how little ram they gave the mpc 60 ram is so cheap

it sure is good for akai as a business. but they are moving away from the core mpc workflow. some will like it, some will not like it. for me, it lost its appeal as a "classic groovebox sampler". its more like operating an ipad with some physical knobs and pads.

from UX side of things, i really think less intuitive as previous mpcs.

from now on it will be tons and tons of new instruments and effects they are going to squeeze in. and they will make the arranger more and more complex because people want it that way.
