That could be problematic for sure. Meanwhile, sound designers like Tube Digga are making the most of Keygroups XL and doing some pretty crazy stuff. This was posted here before, but here it is again for those actually interested in the new features:

So no effect parameters on destinations of LFO in mod matrix, right?
No sample loop start and end points, right?
All seems pretty useless, at the end.
An improvement of what we already had, nothing new, just more chances to use the features we had before as sources or targets.

We are still at the level of any basic sampler of the last 30 years.
There is nothing advanced here, it's a closed circuit of parameters affecting each other.
You cannot do anything with the source sample, for example, like changing its start/end points, repitching, stretching with an LFO.
You cannot affect the parameter of an effect with that same LFO.
That would open up many possibilities.
At the moment, we are still on basic territory.

They don't even read the bug reports, imagine the feature requests.

Advanced Keygroups are not Advanced at all.
After 7 years, finally we got some basic stuff.
But the mod matrix targets are disappointing, there is not much to do with them.
Maybe in 7 more years they put some interesting targets.

I'd suggest you watch the video at the beginning of this thread. Plenty of interesting stuff in the mod matrix for targets.

Targets are still the same: filter, pitch, pan, velocity.
You can now change the way LFO affects them, modulating the LFO with another one, filtering the filter, and so on.
But the final targets remain the same.
Nothing changed with that and, beside filter which can lead to something interesting, the other three are just boring.
That's the point.

It would be a lot more effective than complaining on this forum & they made the KGXL because people were requesting more advanced features & a mod matrix. It may not as advanced as you would like but its not not stuck in stone.

I don't how much work it took just to add this without breaking other things, so I appreciate their commitment to a 8 year product & hope these features get ported to the Force.

They were so close to introduce wave scanning in the keygroups. I have so many nice wavetables to use but I guess that might bring the cpu down to its knees

What interpolation method could wavetable synthesis on a MPC afford with the Radxa Rock2's CPU ? Linear, cubic... FFT ? Or is a watevetable synthesis plugin with precomputed tables all that can reasonably be expected within the hardware constraints ?

The Mali GPU could theoretically help there... Does the MPC use it for its framebuffer rendering, or does it render entirely in software on the CPU ? It doesn't load any OpenGL driver as far as I read, so the GPU could be entirely unused - and that would make a nice little DSP to use with OpenCL... The MPC shall be Serum too !

Doesn't Hype and subfactory already have a wavetable engine in them ? Unless they use a different approach to blend between waveforms.
I have no idea on that matter and how it gets implemented. If any genious knows what's up, please inform us on the topic.

I didn't know - you're right. Considering Hype's low CPU load and absent wavetable flexibility, I suppose it went for precomputed.
