Hi, so to start off, I'm new to the MPC but have a background in MIDI, modular and such. One of the things I was wanting to try out today was CC control the volume of a track.
I set the MPC to learn and it picked up immediately which CC controller I was turning and on which channel.
However, soon after it went haywire; after a small while the slider on the MPC started a life of it's own in an increasingly extreme way. Trying to relearn and setting the CC to panning resulted into the MPC crashing.
I decided to monitor the MIDI controller through MIDI ox but it was functioning fine. I though it might had to do with the active sensing, but I have learnt there's no active sensing filter on the MPC and it shouldn't be an issue.
So I restarted the MPC and tried to do it again. But instead of controlling the volume the CC controller functioned as a note on despite all the preferences being to volume.
I restarted for a third or fourth time, and this time I got it to function as a volume knob again, however there was no longer any feedback of the slider moving on the MPC screen.

Can it be a consequence of static electricity? > I've seen the Q-Link controller go wild at one point as well.
Firmware issue? > I'm using 2.15.1 as I couldn't use V3 without WIFI issues, so I downgraded. I though it perhaps might be a known issue with version 2.#.
Anything other?
